plI was watching the February 13, 1986 episode of The Computer Chronicles recently.  The news segment contained a brief throw-away story about an investment by Steve Jobs—something about buying Pixar!

He spent “several millions of dollars” on the deal—hmm, I wonder if it was worth it…

Stewart describes Pixar as doing:

3D graphics for movies, but found a better market in the medical and military fields.


I wonder if this Pixar company will ever amount to anything…


That’s nice—I hope the medical and military fields work out for them.  There’s probably not much hope they’ll ever amount to anything in 3D graphics for movies. </sarcasm> Smile
