The UEFI Forum updated all three of its specifications in December, 2024:  ACPI, UEFI, and PI.

As a refresher:

  • Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) - defines an interface between firmware and an Operating System for purposes of platform configuration and power control; replaced earlier specifications like the Plug and Play (PnP) specification, and Advanced Power Management (APM) specification
  • Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) - defines an interface between BIOS firmware and an Operating System for the purposes of bootstrapping the system and handing off control to a trusted OS bootloader
  • Platform Initialization (PI) - describes low-level silicon initialization and especially configuring main memory for use by the system

It's unusual for all three of the specs to be updated at one time, but not unheard of.  (it did happen in June, 2017, for example)

Below I've included links to the latest specifications, both PDF and HTML formats.  Plus, I've copied the release notes for reference; go grab the specifications for details.
